Hi I'm Taylor, I am an actor, a singer and on occasion - a clown. I found my love for performing at an early age- seriously, at my 3 year old ballet recital they had to drag me off the stage because I wouldn't stop blowing kisses to the audience. 

As an actress I gravitate towards working on new works, I love creating a character from scratch and being part of a living, constantly changing production. I've been described as a "quirky soprano", "weird but in a good way" and "delicate and sincere". 

 

I was born on the border between Mexico and the US and grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I went on to study musical theater at Oklahoma City University, go Stars!

 

Shortly after graduating, I won Miss New Mexico (gotta pay those student loans somehow, amiright?) and spent the year using my platform to advocate for access to arts education in the state, I fundraised for the public schools so they could purchase instruments for music classes and organized performance opportunities for middle school and high school students. The arts are at the very core of the human experience and my life goal is to make them more accesible for everyone.

 

When I am not sitting in the holding room for an audition, I teach elementary musical theater classes in the New York Public Schools, toddler ballet and tap, yoga and yoga for kids; I work at Ars Nova, a non-profit artist centered Off-Broadway theater and volunteer with Sing For Your Seniors. If that is not enough, I run my own small business, DoReyMi Designs, where I sell handmade crochet plushies and customized embroidered apparel that I design myself. *shameless plug*
